Benefits management at a law firm - Hammonds

About Hammonds

Hammonds is a leading commercial law firm with offices throughout the UK, Europe and in Asia. They employ nearly 2000 people, working out of 10 offices in 6 countries.

Background

We were contacted by this client who had undertaken some internal and external consultancy and, following this, a decision had been made to implement a limited flexible benefit package. Initially they outsourced the entire administration but found that the service costs were at odds with their requirements. They were seeking a solution provider that could provide a system that enabled them to offer the same plan but could provide a more cost effective solution that allowed them to carry out part of the administration in house.

Key facts

  • 1,000 employees, international commercial law firm
  • Objectives - implement a robust employee benefit management system to operate flex benefits
  • Our services – implementation of flex using our web based benefits management system, employee communications (posters, desk drop cards, booklets)
  • Client since 2000

Our solution

The client chose the our system to meet their existing flex offering and at the same time address the issue of improving employee understanding of the benefits.

Through the implementation of our solution, the client was able to significantly reduce administration costs and gain a system that improved data flow to HR and payroll. The introduction of technology also provided a means of improved data transmission to the product providers and employees now all have individual online account access.
